Savoury crepes and pancakes made with buckwheat

These pancakes, much appreciated by experts of “blé noir” (buckwheat wich is sold in large quantities in Central Brittany), are used as the bases for delicious Breton meals.
They can be filled with eggs, ham, cheese, mushrooms…
They can also replace breakfast time bread


Sweet crepes and pancakes made with wheat

These delicious sweet pancakes can be enjoyed at any time of day; either on their own or with butter, chocolate spread, honey, etc…
They can be reheated either in a frying pan, with a knob of salted butter or else in a micro wave oven for 10 seconds.
To give them a little crispness, fold them in 4, with a smear of butter on them, and either grill them or toast them lightly.


Sweet crepes and pancakes for the dessert

These pancakes either plain, with apple, filled with chocolate or with caramel, can be eaten at any time of day, but also make a tasty dessert when accompanied by ice-cream, caramel sauce or whipped cream.
